One Generation Away (OneGenAway) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating food insecurity by providing healthy food to those in need. Founded in 2013 by Chris and Elaine Whitney, OneGenAway rescues high-quality surplus food from grocery stores, restaurants, farms, and caterers, redistributing it to individuals and families across Middle Tennessee, Northern Alabama, and the Florida panhandle. Through their Mobile Food Pantry, operating every Saturday, and partnerships with local agencies, they ensure that anyone can receive food without any questions asked. Their mission is to share hope, honor, and dignity through food, striving to wipe hunger off the face of America by teaching people to love one another through service.
